John “L.J.” Waterson, 49, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Osceola Regional Medical Center with friends and family at his side. He was born in Heilbronn, Germany on June 4, 1961 and adopted by the late Caroline and John Waterson, Sr. L.J. was an accomplished chef and enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. He also enjoyed playing and watching golf and tennis, and loved watching college and professional football, especially the Florida Gators and Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his loving and devoted girlfriend, Renae Bōōs; son Sterling C. Bond of Lake Placid, FL and granddaughter Ivy Rose Bond; sisters Carolann (and Arnoldo) Morales of Miami; and Ellen (and Rick) Meader of Ypsilanti, MI and two nieces (Kristine and Kate); (aunt and uncle) Lorraine and Ed Tafat of St. Cloud; cousins: Valerie (and Doug) Johnson of Clermont; Rick (and Donna) Tafat of Kissimmee; Leslie (and Tom) Hage of Orlando; Kimberlie Diaz (and James Springer) of St. Cloud; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins out of state. L. J. was preceded in death by his parents, Caroline and John Waterson, Sr. and cousin Edward “E.J.” Tafat. L.J. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and will be fondly remembered keeping his red truck looking brand new.
A Celebration of L.J.'s life will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee with visitation from 10 - 11 AM. Interment to follow at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Waryas, Rodney Tilley, Irwin Wilson, Charlie Henninger, Tommy Joynes, Kurt Bette, Ronnie O’Neal, and Steve Bohannon.
